A couple of area youngsters took the top prize in their respective age groups in tournaments on the North Texas PGA Junior Tour recently.
At Hidden Creek in Burleson on June 19, Willow Park’s Kylie Kirkland tied for first place in the Girls 15-18 division on the Medalist Tour, shooting a 94. Harper Price of Aledo was one stroke behind in third place with a 95.
At Cedar Crest in Dallas on June 17, Addy Hass of Weatherford took first place in the Girls 11-12 division, shooting 65 over nine holes.
On the All-American Tour, Braden Stokes of Aledo placed fifth at Tangle Ridge in Grand Prairie. He posted a 3-over-par 145 over two rounds, shooting 70 and 75.
