Two AHS athletes bring home medals from Austin

Taylor Hindman of Aledo cleared a career-best 12-6 to take the silver medal in the 5-A division at the UIL State Track Meet in Austin on Friday.

Lauren St. Peters also brings home a medal by placing third in the shot put.

Sofia Brandenburg ran a career-best time of 2:13.32 to place fifth in the 800.

For the Bearcats, Brad Campbell placed seventh in pole vault, clearing 14-6.

The boys 4x200 relay team of Hawk Patrick-Daniels, Jaden Allen, Hauss Hejny, and Aven Lawrence placed fifth with a time of 1:26.61.

The boys 4x400 relay team of Adam Averett, Aven Lawrence, Blake Burdine, and Hauss Hejny placed eights in the last event of the night with a time of  3:24.53.
