Ladycats duo named to All-State Tournament Team

Junior Marina Taveras and sophomore Jordyn Edington have been named to the University Interscholastic League Class 5A All-State Tournament Softball Team at first base and in the outfield, respectively.

Eddington went 1-for-3 against Harlingen South with a double. Taveras was also 1-for-3.

The Ladycats finished 35-4, falling 1-0 in the state semifinals to Harlingen South, which finished as state runner-up after losing to Melissa in the title game. It was Aledo's third state tournament appearance in four years.
