Former Weatherford Kangaroos outfielder J.T. Cienaga has been a Class 6A Elite All-Star by the Texas High School Baseball Coaches Association. Also, incoming junior catcher Jett Vindiola was named third-team Class 6A All-State.
Cienaga, a recent graduate, led the team in batting with a .429 average, along with driving in 27 runs. Vindiola posted a .360 average.
Cienaga has committed to play for Grayson College next season.
The duo helped the Kangaroos to a 25-8-1 record and a runner-up finish in District 3-6A. They were upset in a pair of one-run losses by Keller in bidistrict, 2-1 and 4-3 in nine innings.
