Early voting began Monday for local-area elections in preparation for the main voting day on May 6.
The biggest item for most voters in east Parker County is the Aledo Independent School District’s $123,800,000 bond proposal. The proposal was recommended to the school board by a committee of area residents who studied the facility needs of the rapidly-growing school district.
The only other proposition decision for area voters concerns Emergency Services District No. 1 annexation of the City of Sanctuary.
In terms of choosing representatives to local government bodies, all voters in Parker County will choose between Doug Dowd and Scott Butler.
Other local area races are shown below. The race that will appear on any given ballot depend on where the voter lives.
