Church and the Annetta Cemetery.
“The Town of Annetta will continue to uphold its commit- ment to preserving a safe, healthy, and attractive quality of life for all of its residents while maintaining fiscal responsibility and planning that come with it,” Pinckard said. “Annetta commits to be a vibrant community with a high standard of living that is complemented by a unique and beautiful natural environment that it seeks to pre- serve. Annetta is the home of good people living the good life.”
The Town of Annetta South completed a comprehensive plan in 2017. In 2018, the city has com- pleted an updated zoning ordi- nance that includes a new map. Mayor Chaz Marsh, along with the other members of the City Council and Planning & Zoning Commission, has worked diligent- ly to listen to the community and continue to preserve the ideals of the citizens. The next step will be to work on a maintenance agree-
ment with TxDOT and update the city’s subdivision ordinance.
Residents of Annetta South embrace the countryside where families can thrive in concert with plants and animals. Annetta South was once open prairie land and residents continue to enjoy the natural environment.
“We in Annetta South want to encourage harmonious new devel- opment that is in keeping with the values of Annetta South,” Marsh said.
Annetta North Mayor Robert Schmidt said the town has adopt- ed a new zoning policy, and he feels rural living is one of the attractive features of the city.
“Being a rural community with plenty of space makes living here attractive,” he said. “We try to preserve our agricultural and equestrian roots. If you enjoy the outdoors and want to live on sev- eral acres of land and enjoy your neighbors, Annetta North is the place to be.”
