The Weatherford Wild swim team placed fourth out of 14 teams at the Texas Amateur Athletic Federation Region 4 Swim Meet at the Southlake Natatorium on July 13-14.
The Wild had a combined team score of 1,932.5 points. Of these, male swimmers accumulated 984.5 and females scored 916.
The team also had a combined total of 47 medals, including 12 gold, 16 silver and 19 bronze.
Among the male swimmers, Bowen Judd and Harrison Gentry each won a pair of gold medals swimming in the 11-12 and 9-10 age groups, respectively. The females were led by two gold medals each won by Charlotte Borme and Mackenzie Oligschlaeger in the 11-12 and 13-14 divisions.
For ages 14 and under, swimmers who finished in the top five qualified for the TAAF Summer Games of Texas July 25-28 in Brownsville. For swimmers ages 15 and up, if they swam at regionals they are qualified to swim at state.
