Weatherford College and Sam Houston State University entered a new partnership this week designed to create seamless transfer pathways for WC students.
The agreement, signed by WC President Tod Allen Farmer and SHSU President Alisa White at the university’s campus in Huntsville, provides a streamlined process for WC students transferring into any SHSU program.
"This agreement exemplifies our commitment to expanding educational opportunities and providing our students with a clear path towards advanced degrees," said Farmer. "By partnering with esteemed institutions like Sam Houston State University, we ensure our students have access to high-quality programs that meet their academic and career aspirations."
The collaboration also offers a significant advantage for students pursuing the Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences in Organizational Leadership at WC, granting them a direct pathway into SHSU's Master of Business Administration program.
“I’m excited to work with President Farmer and Weatherford College to support Texas' workforce needs,” White said. “Our shared priorities of student access and success are at the forefront of all we do, and this MOU makes perfect sense.”
