Tri County offers chance for students to win a free trip and scholarship

Posted

Tri-County Electric Cooperative is now accepting applications for the 2023 Texas Youth Tour for six lucky high school sophomores and juniors to experience a once-in-a- lifetime opportunity.

That opportunity is to travel to Washington, D.C., tour historical sites, learn about our nation’s capital, and lead among fellow U.S. Representatives.

“This all-expenses paid, 10-day trip is a unique opportunity for our young members to learn about our nation’s capital, experience the rich history regarding the founding of our country, and learn about the electric cooperative industry – all while gaining leadership experience,” Tri County’s Director of Communications Annie Watson said.

Selected participants will spend June 11 – 19 with more than 150 other students statewide, meeting deep in the heart of Texas before embarking on their trip to Washington, D.C. Additionally, they will each receive a $2,000 scholarship.
