Posted

The popular Jones Hope Wooten playwriting team (Jessie Jones, Nicholas Hope, Jamie Wooten) will make their return to the Theatre Off the Square stage soon with the presentation of “The Savannah Sipping Society.” The show opens Friday, March 17, and runs weekends through April 2.

This production is directed by Amanda Livengood, with Mark Gillies as the assistant director, and Jordan Herndon as the stage manager. Show times are 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 2 p.m. on Sundays. Theatre Off The Square is located at 114 North Denton Street, Weatherford.

Interpreter services will be provided at the performance on Saturday, April 1, at 8 p.m. Services are provided through a partnership with the American Sign Language Interpreting Program of Tarrant County College Trinity River Campus.

The show is a heartfelt comedy that brings together four very different southern women, all facing a need to escape the monotony of their situations. Over an impromptu happy hour, they decide to reclaim their enthusiasm for life.

The play follows them as, together through their misadventures, they find the confidence to jumpstart their new lives. It’s another hilarious, fierce, and surprisingly touching story by audience favorites Jones Hope Wooten, who have brought several shows to the TOTS stage.

  • Randa – Michelle Newman.
  • Dot – Peggy Osburn.
  • Marlafaye – Kathy Manning.
