Timothy “Tim” Keith Watts, 64, who was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather of Cresson passed away on Friday morning, May 9, 2025, surrounded by family in his home in his home after a brief struggle with cancer.
Tim was born on July 28, 1960 in Fort Worth to Jack and Jean Watts. On March 19, 1983, Tim married Julie Andrews and had two children, Tyler and Megen.
Tim co-owned and operated Watts Drilling Co. His commitment to the Aledo and surrounding communities was evident by his hours answering late night calls and making unplanned visits to service water wells, no matter the day or weather conditions.
He was a licensed pilot and enjoyed spontaneous trips with Julie, friends, and family ranging from Arizona to Florida. Most of all, Tim “Topa” cherished time spent with his five grandchildren, who loved his infectious laughter and ornery sense of humor. His strength, wisdom, and kindness left a lasting impact on everyone he knew.
Tim is survived by his wife, Julie; children, Megen (Patrick) Shortess, and Tyler (Tera) Watts; grandchildren, Brynn, Grady, Bailey, Lemon, and Millie; his mother, Jean Watts; brothers, Tad and Toby Watts; and his sister, Torre Holbrooks.
Tim was proceeded in death by his father.
A memorial service celebrating Tim’s life will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at the Church at the Crossing, 128 Elm Street, in Aledo, Texas.
