The Weatherford College men’s tennis team finished in a tie for 13th place out of 27 teams at the NJCAA Division I Championship. The tournament was hosted May 12-16 in Florence, South Carolina.
Emmanuel Jebutu won the consolation final in Flight 1 singles. Jebutu defeated Felipe Garla of Cowley College (Kansas) 8-2 in the final.
Andres Serrano advanced to the finals of Flight 5 singles, going 5-2 over the tournament.
Marko Filipovic and Serrano advanced to the doubles quarterfinals in flight 2.
Tyler Junior College won the national championship, the program’s 21st title.
WC has qualified for nationals in both years of the program’s existence, established in the 2023-24 season.
