TCA shooters score bests at Waxahachie

The TCA Clay Target Team competed in the Winter Wonderland event in Waxahachie.

Max Skogsberg shot 97/100 in skeet ,winning second place overall (134 total shooters competing) in varsity men’s division.  He also tied for third in sporting clays (87/100) and narrowly lost in a very difficult tie-breaking shoot off match. Max has been extremely busy with TCA basketball and only recently was able to join the clay target team.

Zeke Miller led the team in prayer and then went on to shoot a personal best 96/100 in skeet. This resulted in a four-way tie for third place (134 total shooters competing.  Zeke entered the high-pressure shoot off requiring him to shoot skeet doubles from more difficult stations than normal. Zeke hit all targets and immediately eliminated the competition, securing a third place overall victory in the varsity men’s division. He also shot a personal best score of 86/100 in sporting clays.
