The Aledo Swimcats began the 2023-24 swim season at the Arlington Heights Sprint Invitational Saturday, Sept. 30 at the Wilkerson-Greines Activities Center in Fort Worth.
Aledo finished first in 12 events.
The Aledo girls were led by Jacquiline Gruber, who won four events, two on relays and two individually. Also, Victoria Crews won three (two relays, one individual) and Haley Roberson and Julia Gordy each won two (one relay, one individual).
Porter Lane paced the Bearcats with three events, one relay and two individual.
The Swimcats are back in the water for competition on Oct. 12 in the Pink Out Double Dual Meet with Fort Worth Southwest and Burleson Centennial. The meet begins at 6 p.m.
