Following another stalwart season inside the diamond, the Aledo Ladycats softball team earned a bevy of awards on both the district and state levels. The No. 4 Ladycats (30-4, 12-0) earned the District 5-5A championship for the sixth year in a row and ended with a 15-4 defeat to the Melissa Lady Cardinals, the top ranked high school softball team in the nation in the state semifinals. As a result, Aledo earned a state bronze medal for the second year in a row.

As for 2025 district superlatives, senior ace Taylor McKean claimed District MVP honors. McKean was a force for the Ladycats at the plate and on the mound.
