Colt Harp captured the top spot in boys C singles, while Lila Satterfield had a runner-up finish in girls A singles. Tai Van placed fourth in boys B singles and Vivian Beeby won girls A singles consolation.
“The Argyle tournament was a very tough test for our team. There were 25 quality teams in the tournament from across the DFW area,” Aledo coach Joe McCoy said. “We had some very good results, even those who didn’t place.
“We, as coaches, are pleased to see improvements and the effort being made during drills in practice translate into the shots and decisions being made in the matches.”
Aledo was playing in another tough tournament in Midlothian at press time. After spring break, they will compete in the Sharon Wartes Eagle Invitational Mar. 27-28 in Abilene.
That’s followed by the District 5-5A Tournament Apr. 1-2 at the Richland Tennis Center.
