Pythian Home to hold fundraising concert

The Texas Pythian Home on Bankhead Highway in Weatherford will host a fundraising gospel concert featuring the band Sacred Call at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 13, in the Durant Auditorium at Weatherford High School.

The Pythian Home has been caring for children since 1909. In the beginning it was established to care for widows and orphans and through the years has changed to presently care for children with families in need.

The goal of the home is to supply a loving atmosphere so children entrusted in their care will have a role model after whom to pattern their lives and homes. Over the years the Pythian Home has served as a home for more than 1,000 children.

Tickets are on sale in increments of five, ranging from five for $50 to 50 for $500.
