Peggy June Brown, 85, of Odessa, passed away on Sunday, July 21, 2024, peacefully at her home.
Peggy was born on December 27, 1938, in Oklahoma City. Peggy married Charles Brown on May 9, 1959, in Odessa. Peggy made a career as an AT&T telephone operator and after retirement she worked at the Best Cleaners in Odessa. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, reading, and visiting any and all casinos.
Peggy is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Brown; daughter, Charla Young; parents, Glen C and Louise Mitchell; sister, Helen Harper; and brother, John Virgil Mitchell.
She is survived by daughter Dana Pittman and husband Dwaine of Aledo; son, Coy Brown and wife Nicole of Trophy Club; son-in-law, Mike Young of Lubbock; grandchildren, Starla Sanders and husband Greg of Jacksboro, Mckaylee Ladd and husband Matthew of Jacksboro, Taryn Flota and husband Trevor of Branson, Korbin Pittman and wife Kristen of Godley, Lindsey Young of Lubbock, Taylor and Tate Brown of Trophy Club, and Haley Dominguez of Sealy; great-grandchildren, Stockton and Kelton Sanders, Kayzlee Ladd, Peighton Pittman, Truett Flota and Daymien Navarro; and several nieces and nephews
There will be a visitation from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, August 1, 2024, at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home in Odessa.
Funeral Services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, August 2, 2024, at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.
