Parkgoers’ pictures praised

Willow Park department holds photo contest, awards multiple winners

The city of Willow Park’s communications and marketing department hosted a photo competition called “Picture the Park,” where participants were encouraged to submit a photo that was Willow Park-related.

The winners of the competition were Brian and Jaedeanne Von Hatten with their photo “Rudder” featuring a longhorn and a water tower. There were also multiple honorable mentions, such as Landry McKibben, an 11-year-old who submitted a photo of her dog Dos on the big “district” chair.

“Our dog loves to smile, so I thought I should submit that one,” McKibben said.

Other honorable mentions included Michael Chandler, Stacy Chandler, Aaron Garmon, Vicki Hood, Jaclyn Kimmel, Sophie Ludlam, and Helga Schmidt.
