Melynda Truett Reagan, age 67 of Aledo, Texas, passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side on Friday, February 17, 2023.
Melynda was born on May 5, 1955, in Asheville, North Carolina, before moving to Knoxville in 1965. She and her husband Gary relocated to Texas in 1977.
Melynda always said she was not born in Texas but got here as fast as she could.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William Ray Truett and Polly Sue Truett, and is survived by husband James Gary Reagan; son, Matthew Truett Reagan, his wife, Janlyn Reagan; their children Truett Gaines Reagan, Kealie Maelyn Reagan, Matthew Neyland Reagan, and Cullen James Reagan; son, Andrew Douglas Reagan, daughters-in-law Shannon Dickson and Danielle Reagan; their children Rebecca Kate Reagan, Abigail Peyton Reagan, Knox Douglas Reagan and Reese Lee Reagan.
Mynda, as she was affectionally known by her family, lived to serve others and was wholeheartedly dedicated to her family and friends. Her remains will be scattered between Aledo, Texas, and Redstone, Colorado ─ the two places she considered home in her heart.
A service was held March 3 at Parker County Cowboy Church.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Parker County Center of Hope. www.centerofhopetx.com
