Many Willow Park residents still without power

Uncertain when power will be restored

Posted

Almost 24 hours after major storms ripped through north central Texas, as of 4:15 p.m. today (Friday, March 3) there were still about 33,000 customers without electricity.

A representative of Oncor told The Community News that automation can make quick estimates of repair time in some instances.

In this case, several areas suffered extensive damage that required a number of crews to evaluate. The representative said the crews are working around the clock to restore power, but that it was impossible at this time to determine when power would be restored.

The representative also said that it is advisable for residents without power to have a back up plan in case power is not restored this evening.

Oncor also recommended staying in touch with them. For outage updates, visit https://stormcenter.oncor.com From that site you can also sign up to receive status updates on your repairs.
