Ballot positions are set for municipal and school district elections on May 3 in Parker County. There are a number of contested races in the county.
In Aledo ISD, board president Forrest Collins is challenged by Jeremiah Stoker. Four people have filed to run for the AISD Board of Trustees Place 4 seat. Member Jennifer Taylor is not seeking re-election. Looking to replace her are Lynn Morgan, Miles D. Lewis, Leia Brown, and Kelli Stahl.
Likewise in Weatherford ISD, Place 4 member Greg Shaw is not running again. Seeking that seat are Samuel Stephens, Dan Woods, and Devon Flowers.
Three local mayors are being challenged: in Aledo, city council member Shane Davis has filed to run against incumbent mayor Nick Stanley. In Willow Park, Mayor Doyle Moss has two challengers: Teresa Palmer and Catherine Davis, and Weatherford Mayor Paul Paschall faces challenger Will Montgomery.
For Parker County residents wishing the city limits of Fort Worth, Mayor Mattie Parker has numerous opponents.
There are no elections scheduled in the Annettas, Brock, or Hudson Oaks due to lack of contested positions.
