Linda Nell Densmore, 77, a long-time resident of Aledo, passed from her earthly body on March 18, 2025.
Linda was born January 10, 1948 in Ft Worth, the first of Ina Mae (Cobb) and William ‘Bill’ Theodore Thompson’s children.
Linda was raised in Lake Worth and was a proud member of the high school marching band playing several different instruments.
Linda married Eddie Densmore on June 28, 1967. Together they had two children, Michael and April. Linda remained friends with Eddie well after the 26 year marriage ended.
Avon played a large role in her life, until her retirement in 2009 as an Avon district sales manager. Linda was one of the biggest Texas Ranger Baseball fans and watched every game either on TV or in person. She could be found at every hometown Bearcat baseball game cheering on the boys from the stands, in her bright clothing, neon orange fingernails, and shaking her tamborine. Friday nights in the fall were for Bearcat football and she was so proud of those boys. She loved theatre of any kind and attended as many theatrical events as she possibly could.
Linda was very creative. She could always be found working on a craft project or creating a DIY. You could tell her your vision and she would bring it to life with minimal effort. She was an avid rock collector and to say she loved bargain shopping would be an understatement.
Linda loved to travel the world and would frequent Galveston Island beaches, she called it her happy place. She loved her family and friends in a big way and was so very proud of each and every one of them. She was loved by so many and although we know she is rejoicing with her savior in Heaven, she will be greatly missed.
Linda is survived by her daughter, April Densmore of Aledo; a grandson, Kendrick Swain of Aledo; a granddaughter, Ashley Densmore of Ranger; four great grandchildren - Payton, Raylan, Caden, and Brooklynn (who no doubt greeted her in Heaven as she arrived). She is also survived by three sisters, Alice Shive, Patricia Ingram, Sherry Gunn and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Aledo Athletic Boosters - Baseball Booster Club, P.O. Box 693, Aledo, TX 76008, in her memory.
A memorial service was held Saturday, March 29, at Church at the Crossing.
