The Aledo Ladycats Varsity Orange golf team won the Battle at the Creek at Squaw Creek Golf Course. Though it was played on one of the Ladycats’ home courses, the tournament was hosted by Denton High School.
The Ladycats had a team score of 351 to easily outdistance runner-up Northwest Eaton with a 414.
Sarah Michaelis played her personal best, posting a 78 and taking home individual tournament champion honors. Reagan Gilliland shot 86 for third place individually, Kennedi Parker had a 91 for fourth and Karlee Shaw shot 96 for fifth. Abby Gray came in with a 115.
The four lowest scores comprised each team’s total score.
The Ladycats Varsity Black is competing in the State Preview at White Wing Golf Club in Georgetown Friday and Saturday before wrapping up the fall in the Lady Tiger Invitational in Texarkana Nov. 11-12. The Ladycats Varsity Orange was wrapping up their fall schedule in the Burleson Centennial Tournament at Southern Oaks in Burleson at press time.
The Bearcats Varsity Black and Orange are concluding fall play Friday and Saturday at the Pioneer Invitational hosted by Keller Fossil Creek at Iron Horse Golf Club in North Richland Hills.
