Seniors Caroline Browning and Natalie Anderson got the sendoff they deserved in their final regular season game of their prep careers. The Ladycats dominated Granbury en route to a 52-35 victory on Senior Night.

Aledo (27-9 overall, 10-2 in district) finished the season firmly holding onto the No. 2 seed heading into the bi-district round of the 5A playoffs. They will play Everman or Fort Worth Wyatt in the bi-district round at a time, date and place still being decided at press time.

The Ladycats jumped out to a 10-point lead in the first quarter and never looked back. Kinley Elms dominated the paint with Granbury successfully providing no resistance as she led the Aledo offense. She finished the game with an 18-point night on the hardwood.

As the second quarter got underway with the Ladycats leading 17-7, the Lady Pirates managed to keep pace on the scoreboard. Aledo outscored Granbury 12-11 down the stretch as the home team took a 29-18 lead into the break.

The Lady Pirates managed to chip away at the Aledo lead in the third quarter as the frame came to a close with the Ladycat lead down to eight points, 36-28. That was as close as Granbury would get, as Aledo outpaced the visiting squad 16-7 in the final eight minutes of action to produce the final score.
