Joann (McKenney) Young passed away Thursday, December 1, 2022 in Weatherford.
Joann was born October 24, 1933 in Fort Worth, the daughter of Luther and Margaret (Dobbs) McKenney.
Joann grew up as a member of First United Methodist Church of Weatherford. Later in life, she was an active member of Aledo United Methodist Church.
Joann loved her family, both her natural family and her church family. She was a member of the Ukeladies. She will be remembered as an eccentric southern lady and will be missed by all who knew her.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lon Young; son, Randall Young; and brother, David McKenney.
Survivors include her son, Yale Young (Shannon); daughter-in-law, Jonna Young; grandchildren, Tyler Young (Lori), Carrie Young, and Jordan Doyle (Blake); great-grandchildren, Sallie and Sterling Young, Finnegan and Collins Doyle; and a host of extended family members and friends.
