Georgia Geneyne (Hendricks) Clark, 89, passed away on Wednesday, December 11, 2024.
Geneyne was born November 29, 1935 in Dallas, the daughter of Alleyne Rickard Hendricks and Eugene Hendricks. She lived in Dallas, California, and Arizona before returning to live in Aledo to take care of her mother.
Geneyne worked at Motorola in Phoenix for many years where she met the love of her life, Al Clark, and together they had a daughter, Melinda Clark.
Geneyne was a member of the Aledo United Methodist Church for many years, enjoying friendships with many people, and a special group of friends in their Sunday School class where there were many parties throughout the years.
Geneyne fiercely loved her family, especially liked road trips and family camping trips, whether it was in a tent or a tent trailer camping in the mud. She loved sitting by the campfire and being entertained by stories from anyone who wanted to tell one. She also enjoyed crossword puzzles, entertaining, and was an excellent cook. She was an incredible wife, mother, and grandmother to all.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Alvah Clark; children, Joe DeRohwer, II, James DeRohwer, and Melinda Clark.
Geneyne is survived by her children, Jereyne Cronin, Tim DeRohwer (Pam), Matthew DeRohwer, Rainie DeRohwer, and Darien DeRohwer. Geneyne was grandmother to 11; great-grandmother to 17; and great great-grandmother to one. She is also survived by numerous cousins; a host of extended family members; and a lifetime of friends.
