Fourteen athletes from Aledo High School signed letters-of-intent to play their respective sports at the college level on Tuesday, Feb. 7.

The list included six from football, three from baseball, two from golf, one from softball, one from swimming, and one gymnast.

Football signees from the 2022 Class 5A Division I state champion Bearcats are:

  • Ryan Cox, Howard Payne University.
  • Lawson Moore, Central Missouri University.
  • Bryon Moreno-Wheeler, Midwestern State University.
  • Andrew Parkhurst, Hardin-Simmons University.
  • Jalen Pope, Oklahoma State University.
  • Isaac Sohn, University of North Texas.

Pope had originally committed to Air Force in the early signing period in December and Sohn committed to the University of Texas-San Antonio before both changed their decisions.

Also, Ansel Din Mbuh committed to Washington State during the early signing period.

Baseball players who signed Tuesday are Garrett Addington, North Central Texas College; Matthew Clark, Hill College; and Trace Mazon, Weatherford College. Softball player Chloe Cox signed with the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor and swimmer Tanner Howse signed with Hendrix College in Arkansas. Autumn Adkins signed with State University of New York at Cortland in gymnastics.
