Dozen Ladycats honored by coaches

Freshman midfielder Ally Wiemer’s selection as Offensive Newcomer of the Year paced a dozen Ladycats who were among the All-District 5-5A honors handed out by the district coaches.

First-team choices went to senior midfielder Emaree Gibson, junior midfielders Emery Thompson and Katie Cox and junior defender Reagan Tomlin. On the second team are senior midfielders Hailey Vandiver and Georgia Zirbser, senior defender Payton Weaver and sophomore defender Addison Clark.

Receiving honorable mention were senior Dakota Jackson, junior goalkeeper Ava Fennell, and sophomore defender Haley Mourer.

The Ladycats were second in district with a 6-4-2 record and were 11-9-3 overall. They advanced to the second round of the playoffs.
