Coyotes/Lady Coyotes have honored as NJCAA All-Academic

The National Junior College Athletic Association has announced its 2023-24 All-Academic Teams, recognizing student-athletes across the country for their dedication in the classroom. 

Weatherford College topped the all-academic list in the Northern Texas Junior College Athletic Conference and is the fourth highest ranked among the 23 institutions in NJCAA Region V with 47 students on the list. 

Student-athletes earn NJCAA All-Academic honors by achieving a grade point average of 3.60 or higher for the 2023-24 academic year. Those with a 3.60 to 3.79 GPA are NJCAA All-Academic Third Team, 3.8 to 3.99 are NJCAA All-Academic Second Team, and perfect 4.0 GPAs earn NJCAA All-Academic First Team. 

The Coyotes and Lady Coyotes honorees are:

First Team 

  • Baseball: Carson Lightfoot, Trey Maples, Luke Robertson, Jalen Rogers, Dylan Russo.
  • Women’s basketball: Diana Mozer.
  • Men’s golf: Emil Lovstrup, Charlie Townsend.
  • Softball: Tori Thompson.
  • Men’s tennis: Emmanuel Jebutu.
  • Volleyball: Lorena Gomez, Meagen Ledbetter.

 

Second Team: 

  • Baseball: Evan Brandt, Kevin Duran.
  • Men’s golf: Louis Vallis, Samuel Wolfe.
  • Softball: Lilly Bean. 
  • Women’s tennis: Carmine Becoude.
  • Men’s tennis: Bruno Britez, Alexis Leguizamon, Christian Lopez.
  • Volleyball: Sara Maksimovic, Alexis Pruitt, Dru Witherspoon.

 

Third Team:

  • Baseball: Noah Bentley, Jack Caginello, Cade Crossland, Louka Daoust, Charlie. Giese, Blake Martinez, Cody Morse, Logan Simmons, Cooper Strawn.
  • Men’s gasketball: Melvin Quennecart.
  • Women’s golf: Grace Burland.
  • Softball: Jillian Franco, Presley Humphrey, Makanalei Lapera, Ava Mccracken, Alexah Reyes.
  • Women’s tennis: Hoziane Kitambala, Tsitsi Mahere.
  • Volleyball: Evelyn Benson, Aislyn Cox, Abigail Folsom, Abigail Hellman, Stella Scott.
