As a member of the Aledo City Council, I couldn’t be prouder to celebrate Dayne’s Craft Barbecue landing a spot in Texas Monthly’s Top 10 BBQ joints. That’s a huge honor for any restaurant — and it’s happening right here in Aledo.
Dayne and Ashley Weaver have poured heart, hustle, and talent into building something truly special. But this kind of success is never just about one couple or one kitchen. It’s about the whole team — from the staff running the counter to the folks smoking meat through the night. It’s the landlord who believed in the vision, the truck drivers delivering supplies before sunrise, and the local jobs that now exist because this place exists.
Every time someone makes the trip to Dayne’s — many of them driving straight down 1187 — they’re passing through our town. They may fill up at our gas stations, grab coffee from a nearby shop, or get curious about Aledo itself. This is how a single win creates ripple effects. As the saying goes, a rising tide lifts all boats.
And let’s be honest — people should come from all over just for the hamburger. It’s that good.
Dayne’s is more than a BBQ joint. It’s proof of what’s possible when passion meets community support. And it’s another reminder that while Aledo may be small, we’ve got big things happening here.
Sincerely,
Summer Jones
Aledo City Council Member
