Area golfers continue solid summer in North Texas PGA Junior circuit

Led by young Christian Ziegler, several golfers from the Aledo and Weatherford area continued their summer of success on the North Texas PGA Junior Golf circuit.

Ziegler, competing in the boys 9-10 age group on the Prep Tour, won the championship at Texas 9 golf course in Fort Worth. He posted a nine-hole score of 3-over-par 30.

In that same tournament, Weatherford’s Samuel Langeuin tied for third, shooting a 35.

Also at Texas 9, Korbyn McBride of Aledo placed second in the Girls 15-18 division, shooting 50 over nine holes.

At the Waterchase course in Fort Worth, Reagan Gilliland of Willow Park finished third. She had a pair of nine-hole scores of 44 and 45 for a two-round total of 89.

And, at Irving Golf Club, Evan Boukadoum of Aledo shot an 83 over 18 holes to tie for ninth in the Boys 15-18 category.
