AMS takes three of four from Brewer

The Aledo Middle Bearcats won three of their four games against Brewer on Tuesday, Oct. 17.

The eighth-grade teams were on the road, while the seventh grade was home.

The eighth-grade A Team won 44-0 to improve to 4-3 on the season. They outscored the Bears 70-0 in their two meetings.

The eighth-grade B Team won 38-8 to remain undefeated at 6-0. In their two meetings they outscored Brewer 64-14.

The seventh-grade A suffered their first loss of the season, 32-28, to fall to 5-1-1. In their two meetings, Brewer outscored Aledo 82-80, with the Bearcats claiming a wild 52-50 win earlier in the season.

In a defensive battle, the AMS seventh-grade B Team won 8-0 to even its record at 3-3. They outscored the Bears 20-0 in their two contests.

After a bye this week, the Bearcats wrap up the season on Tuesday, Oct. 31 against Stephenville. Eighth grade is home and seventh grade away. Games begin at 5 p.m.
