Seventh-grader Josh Fink of Aledo Middle School took first place in the Azle Cross Country Meet on Wednesday, Aug. 30. He clocked a time of 5 minutes, 37.18 seconds over 1 mile to top the field of 97 boys.
The AMS eighth-grade boys and girls each placed second. The seventh-grade boys were third and the seventh-grade girls were sixth.
Eighth-grader Ashlynn Durnil was sixth out of 131 girls, clocking a 6:40.56. Eighth-grade boy John Stodola was ninth out of 106 with a time of 6:02.84.
