Led by seventh-grader Josh Fink, Aledo Middle School runners competed in the Junior High Roo Run hosted by Weatherford last week. Fink took first place out of 57 runners with a time of 10 minutes, 42.43 seconds over the 3200-meter course.
Leading the eighth-grade girls was Ashlynn Durnil, who was fifth out of 68 runners with a 12:58.56. Also, Juliet Sloan got sixth with a time of 13:06.49 and Kinley Garcia was 15th in 14:09.72.
Among eighth-grade boys, Andrew Walsh finished 11th out of 71 runners, clocking a time of 11:38.89; and Kouper Wedgeworth was 15th in 12:04.56.
Karson Green led seventh-grade girls, finishing 11th out of 77 and posting a time of 13:20.54. Also for the seventh-grade boys, Luke McGuire was 12th in 12:34.48 and Caleb Doss was 14th in 12:46.23.
