Aledo’s Morris nominated for Texas Dentist of the Year™ Award

Sarah J. Morris, DDS, MAGD, of Fort Worth, Texas, has been nominated by the Fort Worth Academy of General Dentistry (Forth Worth AGD) for the Texas Academy of General Dentistry’s (Texas AGD) Texas Dentist of the Year™ Award. This award is considered the most prestigious honor a Texas dentist can earn.

Dr. Morris is one of only 11 dentists nominated for this year’s award. She and the other nominees will be honored at the Texas Academy Awards on Friday, Sept. 20. Each nominee will be recognized and will receive an engraved plaque. The Texas Academy Awards will conclude with the announcement of the 2024 Texas Dentist of the Year™.

“A nomination for the Texas AGD Dentist of the Year™ is a true testament to a dentist's commitment to excellence. Dr. Morris and all the nominees deserve our congratulations for their dedication and professionalism,” said Texas AGD President, Dr. Alex Gonzalez.

Dr. Morris received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio in 2006. She distinguished herself professionally by achieving the AGD’s Mastership Award in General Dentistry in 2020. Dr. Morris has volunteered her time on the local, state, and national level with service to numerous professional organizations, including the Fort Worth AGD, Fort Worth District Dental Society, Texas AGD, Texas Dental Association, Academy of Laser Dentistry, and International College of Dentists, among many others. She’s also volunteered her time and services in various local dental clinics and on mission trips to provide care to those in need.

When not contributing to organized dentistry, Dr. Morris is active in Christ Chapel Bible Church, a founding board member of the National Charity League, and the Aledo Volleyball Club, as well as the owner of Athletic Performance Volleyball.

The Texas Academy of General Dentistry’s mission is to help general dentists succeed.
