The Aledo Ladycats and Bearcats faced some of the best competition in the state this past Saturday in the Non-Texas Interscholastic Swim Coaches Association Invitational at the Mansfield Natatorium.
The meet, which featured 13 of the top teams from around Texas - including Aledo. It was a prelude to this weekend's TISCA Meet in Lewisville Friday and Saturday. The meet in Lewisville will also be the first of the season featuring preliminaries and finals in which Aledo will have competed.
The Aledo boys placed sixth and the girls finished eighth.
"We had some outstanding swims that bode well for championship season," Aledo coach Meghan Roberson said.
Cade Catlin of the Bearcats had the top individual finishes, placing fourth in one event and fifth in another. He also a swam of a fourth-place relay.
The leading individual finish for the Ladycats was Corah Satterfield, who was eighth in two events. She was also on a seventh-place relay.
