Coming back home to AMS

Aledo Independent School District has named Charles Linehan as the principal at Aledo Middle School.

Linehan has been an assistant principal at Keller Central High School in Keller ISD for the past year after spending the two previous years as an assistant principal at Aledo Middle School. Prior to that, he was a social studies teacher, social studies department chair, and coach at Hillwood Middle School in the Keller ISD from 2016 to 2021.

“We are so glad that Mr. Linehan has chosen to come back and be a Bearcat,” Superintendent Dr. Susan Bohn said. “He will once again be a valued part of our Bearcat Leadership Team and continue to build on the success he previously had at Aledo Middle School as an assistant principal. We are excited to see him grow in his leadership capacity and to continue to build positive relationships with students and staff at AMS.”

Linehan has a bachelor’s degree from the University of North Texas and a master’s from the University of Texas at Arlington. He is replacing Dr. Mandy Musselwhite, who will move into the previously-vacated role of Director of Human Resources in Aledo ISD at the end of the school year.

“I am incredibly honored to return to Aledo ISD and step into the role of principal at Aledo Middle School,” Linehan said. “This community has always held a special place in my heart, and coming back feels like coming home. I look forward to working collaboratively with our dedicated staff and families to ensure every student thrives.”
