AHS swimmers second, third at Granbury

The Aledo swim teams competed in Granbury recently at the Hood County YMCA, with the Ladycats finishing second and the Bearcats capturing third.

The Ladycats took first place in both the 200-yard medley and 200 freestyle relays. Each team featured freshman Natalie Hudson, along with sophomores Haley Roberson, Corah Satterfield and Victoria Crews.

The Bearcats were second in the 200 medley relay with seniors Sam Ogden and Tanner Howse joining sophomores Porter Lane and Kyle Scharlow.

In girls’ individual finishes, Roberson won the 100 free and 100 breaststroke, Satterfield took the top spot in the 100 back, Hutson won the 200 free and Crews captured the 200 individual medley. Crews was also second in the 100 back, while Matila Moeller was third in the 200 free, Avery Faulkner was third in the 100 back and Satterfield placed third in the 50 free.

Top individual finishers for the Bearcats were Ogden, second in the 50 free, while Hunter Gregory was second in the 100 back.

Aledo will compete in the Debbie Weems Invitational at the Debbie Weems Natatorium in Mansfield Friday.
