Volume five of The Best of Texas Scholastic Photography features work from 10 Aledo High School students and graduates who were taught by teachers Linda Greenwood and Emily Pyeatt Arnold: Ava Bathurst, Kaylee Halfmann, Megan Hoke, Alyssa Lively, Chloe Mahle, Alex Mount, Reagan Petersen, Marissa Powell, Jordan Prokell and Taylor Tiberg.

A photo by Halfmann graces the cover of the book.

The Association of Texas Photography Instructors (ATPI) unveiled the volume at the winter conference held at the University of Texas in Arlington on Friday, Feb. 24.

The book features images selected from almost 35,000 images submitted in ATPI contests during the past five years. It will be a resource for photographers throughout the world – not merely in Texas – for years to come.

Since 1990, ATPI has worked with students and instructors in more than 4,9000 high schools and middle schools in the state to achieve a higher quality of knowledge and teaching of photography.
