The following offenses were observed or reported to the Parker County Sheriff’s Office Thursday, Dec. 30, through Sunday, Jan. 2, 2011.
Burglary of a vehicle
• 100 block of Meadow Hill Court, the complainant reported unknown suspect(s) entered the vehicles and stole identification cards, an owner’s manual, a garage door opener and a cell phone.
• 900 block of Valle Corte, the complainant reported unknown suspect(s) entered the property and stole license plates from four vehicles and a purse with an undisclosed amount of currency.
• 129 Hogle Street, the complainant reported unknown suspect(s) entered the vehicle and stole a stereo and a set of speakers.

The following offenses were observed or reported to the Parker County Sheriff’s Office Monday, Dec. 20, through Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2010.

Theft of property
• 1700 block of Greenwood Road, the complainant reported unknown suspect(s) entered the property and stole an ATV.
• 100 block of Wood Oak Trail, the complainant reported unknown suspect(s) entered the premises and stole an undisclosed amount of currency.
• 2000 block of Ellis Drive, the complainant reported unknown suspect(s) entered the property and stole a mailbox.
• 200 block of Ranch Road, the complainant reported unknown suspect(s) entered the property and stole a welder with generator and a trailer.

Parker County Sheriff's Crime Report December 27, 2010

Parker County Sheriff’s Criminal Investigations Division is investigating a burglary of habitation call occurring Friday, Dec. 17, 2010.
Parker County Sheriff Larry Fowler said the incident was reported during daylight hours in the 200 block of Barker Court in Springtown.
The occupant of the residence arrived home and told deputies the suspect(s) stole numerous personal items including one dozen firearms (two handguns and 10 rifles and shotguns), a laptop computer and a Wii game system with a game. The reported value of the stolen items was listed as several thousand dollars.
Investigators are following up on leads but are seeking the public’s help in identifying and locating the suspect(s) involved.

Sgt. Rusty Arnold passes away on Tuesday, Dec. 21, 2010

PRESS RELEASE

Parker County Sheriff’s Office is deeply saddened with the loss of Sgt. Rusty Arnold.
Sgt. Arnold passed away Tuesday, Dec. 21, 2010, at a Fort Worth hospital from critical injuries after an auto-related accident Monday, Dec. 13, 2010.

Sgt. Arnold was involved in an off-duty accident on Highway 199 in Springtown, Monday morning, Dec. 13, 2010, where he suffered severe head trauma. He was flown by air ambulance to a Fort Worth hospital, where he fought for more than a week for his life. According to a Texas Department of Public Safety investigation, Sgt. Arnold was the second vehicle stopped at a red light when he was hit from behind by a third vehicle, traveling at highway speed.

The following offenses were observed or reported to the Parker County Sheriff’s Office Friday, Dec. 17, through Sunday, Dec. 19, 2010.

• 200 block of Crockett Road, the complainant reported unknown suspect(s) entered the property and damaged a vehicle.

Criminal Trespass
• 129 Hogle Street, the complainant reported unknown suspect(s) entered the property without their consent.

Domestic violence
• 1400 block of Terry Drive, the complainant reported she and her spouse were engaged in a dispute. The suspect was arrested for violation of protective order.
• 400 block of Hilltop Meadows Court, the complainant reported a known suspect assaulted him during a dispute.
• 2700 block of Tin Top Road, the complainant reported her spouse assaulted her during a dispute.

The following offenses were observed or reported to the Parker County Sheriff’s Office Wednesday, Dec. 15, 2010.

Criminal mischief
• 100 block of Cedar Road, the complainant reported a known suspect entered the residence and damaged a window.
• 200 block of Old Agnes Road, the complainant reported unknown suspect(s) entered the property and damaged a fence.
• 8800 West Interstate 20, the complainant reported unknown suspect(s) threw glass items in the driveway, leaving broken glass.

Criminal trespass
• 1200 block of Oak Ridge Road, the complainant reported a known suspect entered the property uninvited.

The following offenses were observed or reported to the Parker County Sheriff’s Office Friday, Dec. 10, through Sunday, Dec. 12, 2010.

Burglary of a habitation
• 100 block of Ranch Hand, the complainant reported unknown suspect(s) entered the residence and stole a refrigerator, a dishwasher, a microwave and a stove.
• Gilbert Pit Road, the complainant reported unknown suspect(s) entered the residence and stole several handguns, rifles and ammunition.
• 6700 block of Zion Hill Road, the complainant reported unknown suspect(s) entered the residence and stole two televisions, an AC compressor, a clothes dryer and a refrigerator.

Sheriff’s Dept. investigating multiple thefts

AC units, copper wiring targeted

Parker County Sheriff’s Criminal Investigations Division is investigating multiple theft reports occurring over the last month.

Parker County Sheriff Larry Fowler said 24 incidents were reported involving thefts of air conditioning units and copper wire in the last 30 days.

“Copper prices have increased, therefore, increasing copper theft reports,” Fowler said.

Property owners and real estate agents reported the thefts have occurred mostly in abandoned or vacant residences, construction sites and rental/sale properties scattered throughout Parker County. Sheriff’s investigators said more than 20 cases of AC units and copper wiring thefts have been reported on the last several weeks.

• 6800 block of Ice House Road, the complainant reported unknown suspect(s) entered the residence and stole a laptop computer.
• 3200 block of Annetta Centerpoint Road, the complainant reported unknown suspect(s) entered the residence and stole a television remote and laptop computer
