Parker County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Roni Catherine Lisenbe, 33, of Springtown on Friday after a 911 call in which she reportedly said she had shot and killed her boyfriend.
Sheriff Larry Fowler said deputies were dispatched to the call around 10:30 p.m., Friday, March 8, in the 3500 block of West Highway 199 in Springtown.
Deputies arrived on scene and found Lisenbe sitting on the front porch and the victim was discovered on the bedroom floor of their residence.
Lisenbe was immediately taken into custody without further incident.
The Sheriff's Department said she told investigators a domestic dispute led to a physical altercation when Lisenbe retrieved a Glock 23 handgun and shot the victim in the abdomen.
He was transported to Harris Northwest Hospital in Azle, where medical staff pronounced him deceased.
The case is under investigation.
Lisenbe was booked into the Parker County Jail, where she remains incarcerated. As of Saturday afternoon, her bond had not been set.
The victim’s identity is not being released at this time.
