Dora Dean Stockon peacefully went to her home in Heaven Saturday morning, January 29, 2011. She was surrounded by her beloved husband, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
As expressed by her family, Dora’s most enduring quality was her selflessness. Dora consistently placed the needs of her family above her own. Her heart’s desire was to provide for and nurture her children and grandchildren and see them grow into persons of character. This desire was evidently realized when Dora saw her own values mirrored in her children and grandchildren.
Dora is described as humble but dignified, nurturing but strong-willed. There was comfort and warmth in the touch of her hand. By her hands, her family was clothed, and with her hands she fervently prayed for her family.
