Willie Ray Taylor

Ray was born September 22, 1935, one of six children, to John Henry and Vera Aline Ramsey Taylor in Glen Rose. He served with distinction in the United States Navy and received his discharge after four years of honorable service. Ray made his career with Santa Fe Railway and retired after 42 dedicated years. He married Sandy in February 1981, and they enjoyed many great years together and traveled much of the world.

An RV adventurist, Ray considered himself a world traveler and even sailed a boat with his brother, Don, from Florida to Texas. He was also an accomplished musician and played the guitar and harmonica. Ray was a member of Horseshoe Bend Baptist Church.

The Taylor family wishes to extend heartfelt gratitude to Delores and Bonnie for their graciousness.

Ray was preceded in death by his wife, Sandra Lee Taylor; his parents; a sister, Juanita Early; and a brother, Don Taylor.

Survivors include his children, Robert Anderson of Joshua, Kelly Hantz of Weatherford, and Darren Taylor and wife, Angie, of Willow Park; grandchildren, Brittany, Morgen, Kelsey, J.R., Luke and Dylan; great-grandchildren, Grace, Abagail and Jordan; brothers, Vernon Taylor and Jerry Taylor; sister, Teresea Adcock; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; and a host of loving family and friends.

Richard Wayne Alford

Wayne was born in Mineral Wells to Charles Knowles and Maxine Harris Alford. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force. Wayne was a loving husband and a faithful servant of the Lord.

He was preceded in death by his father; and his step-father, Robert Alford.

Survivors include his loving wife, Ruby Alford; sons, Michael and wife, Larissa Alford of California, David Alford of Ft. Worth; grandson, Ron Sikes; mother, Maxine Alford of Willow Park; brother, Charles Alford of Clear Lake; sister, Jasmine (Cymbe) Walston of Indiana; and his church family.

Mildred Plumlee Harris Leach

Mildred was born December 13, 1915 to Jack Jefferson and Darah V. Sandlin Plumlee in Springtown. She was a waitress for 60 years and was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church. Mildred was a member of the Retired Teachers Association and the Weatherford College Exes.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Earl Harris in 1979 and S. C. Leach in 2002; brothers, J. D. Plumlee and Louis Plumlee; and sister, Nina Plumlee Rhoten.

Survivors: Nieces, Carolyn Rhoten Tate, Sandra Rhoten Santos, Brenda Plumlee Reed, Mary Nell Harris McConathy, Peggy Harris Bradley, Betty Harris Ruminer and Mary Bob Berkley; nephews, Bill F. Harris and Derrel Berkley; step-sons, Gary Leach and wife, Martha and Jim Leach and wife, Shirley; step-daughters, Shirlene Knight and husband, Bill; seven step-grandchildren; and many mores nieces and nephews and church family and friends.

James F. "Jim" Pugh

James F. "Jim" Pugh was born December 24, 1926 to Frank B. and Pansy Pugh in Eastland. Jim served as a police officer in Fort Worth from 1955 to 1966. He was a founding member of the Knifemakers Guild. He started making knives in 1969. Jim honorably served his country in the United States Navy in World War II.

Survivors: Wife, Raymonde Pugh; and loving family and friends.

William Afton Daniel
William Afton Daniel was born May 16, 1934, in Clay County, to Jewel Wilson and Henry Richard Daniel. He graduated from Mountain View High School in Mountain View, Okla. in 1953. In Oct. 1953, he joined the Army, where he worked on helicopters and learned skills that would eventually lead him to a career with the Federal Aviation Administration. He retired from the F.A.A. in 1994 and ran his own aviation consulting firm, Bill Daniel and Associates, until December 2009.

It was in 1955, while stationed at Fort Rucker, Ala. that William met and married the love of his life, Margaret Snellgrove. William and Margaret were married on Oct. 27, 1956, in Newton, Ala. Together they were blessed with five children, Douglas, Karen, Bruce, Laura and Aelanda.

A special thank you to the staff at Estates Health Care and Texas Hospice for their care and support during William's final days.

Joel "Fred" Burrow

Fred was born November 17, 1925 in Russell, Okla. to the late Joel Elmore and Edith Elizabeth Burrow. He was a member of the Lakeside Church of God and was retired from the Azle ISD Maintenance Department.

Fred was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Edna Burrow; and thirteen brothers and sisters.

Survivors: Brothers, Earl Burrow of Springfield, Mo. and Glenn Burrow of Casa Grande, Ariz.; numerous nieces, nephews and loving friends.

Concetta was born March 22, 1937 and was a longtime resident of Springtown. She was a faithful member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Concetta dearly loved her family and grandsons.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Maria Palazzolo; husband, Joseph; and a brother, Joseph.

Helen Bellenger

Helen was born December 28, 1917 in Salesville. She graduated from Peaster High School in 1936. Helen met and married Howard Bellenger in 1936 in Peaster and they began their life together. She worked as a librarian for 21 years at T. W. Stanley and Sam Houston Elementary schools.

Helen was a proud member of the Tuesday Night Supper Club and also was a member of the First Baptist Church for 67 years. She also volunteered at Campbell Memorial Hospital for many years.

Helen was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Howard Bellenger; daughter, Joan Milburn; and grandson, Trecy Milburn.

Survivors include: son, Dana Bellenger and wife, Wendy; son-in-law, Al Milburn; grandchildren, Zack and Rachel Bellenger and Scott and Doug Milburn; great-grandchildren, Natalie Rogers, Jesse Milburn, Tanner and Macy Milburn; great-great-granddaughter, Dakota Rogers.

Gordon was an adventure seeker who pursued the thrill of adrenaline from his hobbies and passions which included being outdoors, racing motor cross and working with farm equipment. He has been a professional welder/designer for 27 years. Gordon earned his Bachelor's degree in Computer Science at Tarleton State University. In his spare time he enjoyed helping with the Poolville Math and Science Team and supporting school activities.

Survivors include his wife, Sandra Sies; children, Andrew, Austin and Mallory; mother-in-law, Joann Hardin; two sisters, Leah and Mikki; and mother, Lillian Sies.
