Tennee Rae Williams

Tennee was born July 30, 1929 in Oklahoma to Jack and Maggie Read. She was a long time resident of Springtown. She loved to cook, attend church, garden, and be with her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, George; and twin sister.

Survivors include her sons, Kenneth Williams and wife Sherry of Burleson, and Jackie Bob Williams and wife, Mitzi of Springtown; brother, Jackie Moine Read and wife Janice of Boyd; sister, Shirley Garrett and husband Clyde of Springtown; grandchildren, Michelle, Kristy, Ashley, Shae, Jason; and seven great grandchildren.

James was born on June 17, 1930 in Lakeland, Florida. Jim was the son of the late Albert and Annie Bulger of Lakeland, Florida. He was a Baptist and a member of Gene Wells Seeker II Sunday School Class at the "Church at the Mall" in Lakeland.

He married Mary Elizabeth Cooper (Libby) June 12, 1952 in Lakeland, Florida. Jim was in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. After serving three years he worked for Rust Engineering, Frank Murphy Construction and traveled the world for Dorr-Oliver Engineering. He retired from Dorr-Oliver after 33 years.

Jim was preceded in death by both parents, five sisters, two brothers, and most recently his beloved and wonderful son, Mike Bulger, also from Lakeland, FL.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Libby Bulger; son, Pat Bulger and wife, Carole of Lakeland, FL; daughter, Sandi Dickenson and husband, Ronny of Springtown, TX; daughter-in-law, Melody Bulger of Lakeland, FL; 10 grandchildren; and 15 great grandchildren.

Judy Goodwin

Judy Goodwin was born Aug. 11, 1951, in Fort Worth, daughter of the late William Otis and Minniealice Keen Clark. She married Jimmy Goodwin in Fort Worth on Aug. 17, 1985, at Rosen Heights Baptist Church, and they began their life together. Judy made her career as a secretary for Stratoflex Corporation for 25 years and later retired from Valpak of Fort Worth after 11 years of service. She graduated with the class of 1969 from Northside High School and attended Weatherford College.

Her daughter, Destiny, was her life and loved to spend time with her and the Texas Girls' Choir. She was also an avid shopper and collected glassware and crystal. Judy was a member of Friendship Baptist Church for 11 years.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Larry Clark.

Survivors: Husband of 27 years, Jimmy Goodwin of Weatherford; daughter, Destiny Kenas of Weatherford; brothers, Gerald Clark of Lake Worth and William Morris Clark and wife, Toni, of Weatherford; sister, Glenda Clark of Teague; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; and a host of loving family and friends.

Sharron was a long time resident of Parker County. She loved horses and taking care of them. She was a retired Tarrant County deputy sheriff with more than 15 years of service.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Jack; and a brother.

Survivors include sons Wade Montgomery, of Denton, Jack Montgomery, wife, Susan, of Boyd; sisters, Mary Harper, of Houston and Donna
Tilley, of Texas City; brother, Edward Matthews of Houston; grandchildren, Matthew, Hailey, Jessica, and Olivia; and many friends and acquaintances.

Survivors: sons, Russell Grizzard and wife, Dede of Granbury, Scott Grizzard and wife, Amanda of Fort Worth; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; special friends, Nga Brito-Rodriquez and Scott Draper.

Joseph Hershel Dalton

Hershel Dalton was born September 13, 1913 to R.L. and Mary Bailey Dalton in Authon. He was the youngest of nine children.

Beginning in the early 1940s, he owned and operated Dalton's Grocery for many years in several locations in Weatherford. In 1962, Hershel began building homes, a career that would take throughout much of the remainder of his life. He liked to play dominoes but especially loved to read his Bible. Hershel was a member of First Baptist Church of Weatherford for more than 20 years.

Hershel was preceded in death by his wives, Mae Dalton in 1960 and Lois Dalton in 2009; and six siblings.

Survivors include his son, Bobby Dalton and wife, Marlene, of Fort Worth; grandchildren, Karen Dalton of Phoenix, Ariz., Kathy Dalton of Hudson Oaks, and Bryan Dalton of Fort Worth; great-grandchildren, Timothy, Joe and Erin; sisters, Opal Bowden of Weatherford and Hazel Coalson of Millsap; family friend, Gail Blair; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of loving friends.

Janie Toles

Nellie Jane Toles was born January 5, 1911, in Yantis, one of eight children to the late Elijah and Elizabeth Lucinda Romine. Her parents died when she was very young and her older brother, Willie, and his wife, Vera, raised her. In 1928, she married William Forest Toles, and they made their home in Freedom, in a log cabin that Forest built. After their first child was born, Forest entered the Church of God ministry and he began to build churches around Texas. The family moved to Weatherford in 1962, and after Forest's untimely death in 1971, she began to bake pies for five restaurants in Weatherford, which resulted in lifetime friendships.

Janie never met a stranger and was considered to be a prayer warrior. When her dear friend and fellow prayer warrior, Lavena Snead, died, a part of Janie went with her.

Janie was preceded in death by her husband, Reverend Forest Toles; a great-granddaughter, Ashley Deal; her parents; and seven siblings.

Survivors include her children, William Ray Toles and wife, Billie M., of Wichita Falls, Donal Wayne Toles and wife, Sandy, of Lewisville, Rebekah Deal and husband, Robert, of Weatherford, and Vereda "Sam" Koch and husband, Terry, of Iowa Park; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; niece, Bobbie Herod of Lubbock; nephews, Dalton and Walter Lewis Romine, both of the Snyder area; and a host of loving church family and friends.

Zuda was born July 19, 1926 in Aledo.
Raised in Aledo, she married John Campbell and raised four children while residing in Mineral Wells, Austin and Irving, Texas. Everywhere she lived she contributed to the communities by adding her smile and laughter, help to anyone in need, and inspiration to all who knew her. Never seeing problems she couldn’t overcome, she led her family by giving them encouragement at every turn. She moved to Waxahachie in 1997 to be near her daughter.
She spent her life as a homemaker and serving her Lord every chance she had through her church, WMU, Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, numerous mission trips, Eastern Star, Baylor Auxiliary, Women’s Republican Club, as well as the communities in which she lived. Zuda, known by her grandchildren as “DeeDee” treasured the time she spent with them; she loved playing with them, sharing Jesus with them and watching each one come to know the Lord. Tireless in her efforts; she served in any way she could.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Carl Hurd.
Survivors include her four children: Ben Campbell (Phyllis) of Austin, Johnny Campbell (Kim) of South Lake, Becki Gilliam (Jon) of Midlothian and Tom Campbell of Granbury, six grandsons, six-great-grandchildren and one great-great grandson. Through her daughters marriage she also gained three more grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. The Bennett family includes brother, Bill Bennett of Mineral Wells (Carlene) and many nieces and nephews.
