Ralph Doyle Markum, 83, died Monday, June 2, 2014. Graveside services will be held Saturday, June 7 at noon at Ash Creek Cemetery under the direction of White's Azle Funeral Home.
Mr. Markum lived in Texas most of his life, except for six years in Albuquerque, where he met and married Louise Steele in 1963. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in September 2013. RD retired from General Dynamics in 1991. He was preceded in death by his parents, Haskell and Millie Markum. Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Louise Markum; sisters, Dorthy Bruner and Geneva Nichols; sons, Daryll (Darla), Larry and Marc Markum; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Jo Ann Millwood, 75, died Sunday, June 1, 2014 after a long, courageous battle with cancer.
Graveside service is set for 9 a.m. Thursday, June 5 at Ash Creek Cemetery.
 Visitation is from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at White's Azle Funeral Home.
Jo Ann Millwoodwas born in 1939 in Spartanburg, S.C. and married Frank W. Millwood in 1958. They moved to Azle in 1963. She managed the Quik Sak in Azle for 35 years. She enjoyed going to garage sales, thrift shopping, caring for animals and loved spreading the word of Jesus Christ. Jo Ann was preceded in death by her parents and nephew, Robbie Rhymer.
Survivors include husband, of 56 years, Frank W. Millwood retired USAF; son, Frank Millwood Jr. of Springtown; brother, Bobby Rhymer and wife, Joann; niece and nephew, Cathy Henson and Keith Rhymer of Spartanburg, S.C.; grandchildren, Dillon and Bricky Schafrick and their mother, Bridget of Azle; many other family members and friends.

Mary Agatha McClendon, 86, of Aledo, died Tuesday, May 27, 2014 in a Weatherford nursing center. Funeral was held at 11 a.m. Friday at Silver Creek United Methodist Church, with interment at Blue Bonnet Hills Cemetery.
Mrs. McClendon was born June 27, 1927 in Cresson to Alfred and Leona Massey. She was a member of Silver Creek United Methodist Church. She was a retired cook and restaurant owner and loved playing bingo. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. McClendon was preceded in death by her husband Clyde McClendon and a granddaughter.
Survivors include her daughters, Donna Hurley of Aledo, Betty McDaniel of Gatlinburg, Tenn., Renee Pitts of Rendon, and Gayle Cruz of Mineral Wells; son, Dudley McClendon of Keller; sister, Wanda Averett of Plano; 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and three great great-grandchildren.

Polly Ann Spurlock, 70, died Tuesday, May 27, 2014.
Graveside service is set for 3 p.m. Friday at East Greenwood Cemetery, Weatherford.
Visitation is from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at White's Funeral Home, 130 Houston Ave., Weatherford.
Polly Ann Spurlock was born Feb. 25, 1944 to J.R. and Zona Stearns Reddell in Goldthwaite. She lived in the Mineral Wells and Weatherford areas most of her life. Polly met and married Robert Stevens in 1964 and they lived happily together until he died in 1998. She met and married Michael Spurlock and they enjoyed life together until he died in 2010. Polly was a Christian who put God first in all she did and loved her family with all her heart.
Mrs. Spurlock was preceded in death by sisters, Darlene Fox and Pat Harris.
Survivors include her son, Jesse Stevens and wife, Evangeline, of Mineral Wells; daughter, Trena Coffee and husband, Todd, of Weatherford; grandchildren, Crystal Lothridge and Levi Coffee of Weatherford, James Stevens of Stephenville, Seth Stevens of Denton, Shanna Stevens of Durant, Okla., Alana Stevens of Kerrville; great-grandson, Draven Lothridge of Weatherford; brothers, Sandy Reddell and wife, Diann; Jaylee Reddell, and Aunt Juanita; sister, Autumn Lynn Watts and husband, Dan; and many other loving family members and friends.

Martin Guthrie, 52, died Saturday, May 24, 2014. Memorial service is set for 1 p.m. Saturday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 1010 Timber Oaks, Azle.
Mr. Guthrie was born in Fort Worth Jan. 4, 1962 to Ernest Earl and Betty Louise McCann Guthrie. He served in the United States Army Rangers. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife of 12 years, Sandy Guthrie; son, Ernest Guthrie; brother, Troy Woodford; sister, Jody Mills; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members.

George Page, 53, died Tuesday, May 20, 2014, with his family by his side.
Graveside service is set for 1 p.m. Saturday in Azleland Memorial Park, 850 N. Cardinal Rd., Azle. Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at White's Azle Funeral Home, 105 Denver Trail, Azle.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a Humane Society of your choice, because of his love of animals.
Mr. Page was born Dec. 17, 1960, in San Angelo to Oscar Page and Georgra Jowers Page. He graduated from San Angelo Central High School and attended TSTI in Sweetwater. Page married Lori in November 2007 in Lake Worth. He worked as a welder for Hirschfield Steel for many years and most recently was a foreman for Tippen Fabrication in Boyd. Page loved the outdoors and animals of all kinds. He was a faithful friend and loved spending time with friends and family; he never met a stranger.
Survivors include his wife, Lori Page of Azle; son, J.R. Page and wife, Chandra, of San Angelo; stepdaughters, Whitney Horton of Springtown and Brooke Davis and husband, Charlie, of Azle; grandchildren, Khole, Caleb, Carter, Graycie and Paxton; sister, Jan Call and husband, Keith; niece, Chelsea Middleton; nephew, Brad Call; numerous family and friends.

Vaudean (Deanie) Hambright Smith Eades, 87, died Friday at home in Weatherford.
Funeral service is set for 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 20, at White's Funeral Home, 130 Houston Ave., Weatherford with interment at Long Creek Cemetery, Hood County.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Meals on Wheels of Weatherford.
Mrs. Eades was born January 21, 1927, in Tolar, the only child of Sam and Margaret Hambright. The family moved to Granbury and she went through school there, graduating in 1944. Deanie was married Feb. 10, 1945, to Walter Harold Smith while he was still in the U.S. Army.
They settled in Fort Worth after the war where Harold worked for the U.S. Post Office. Sons Tracey and Gaylen were born there. The family moved in 1954 to Corpus Christi. Son Page was born there in 1958. All the boys went through school in Corpus Christi. The family was active at Travis Baptist Church and in little league baseball. Deanie was secretary for six years of the Gulf Coast Little League, worked for accountants during tax seasons and had permanent positions at the University of Corpus Christi and Continental Oil Co.
After Harold retired in 1978 they moved to Weatherford. They attended First Baptist Church of Weatherford and were charter members of the Sensational Senior Singers, a local choir.
Harold died in 2004. Later that year, Deanie was honored as Ms. Senior Parker County.

Reginal F. Henderson, 79, died Thursday, May 15, 2014.

Reginal Franklin Henderson was born April 14, 1935 in Anson to Barto and Margaret Henderson. He was an Army veteran and retired from Coors Brewing Co. in Golden, Colo.
Mr. Henderson was preceded in death by his father, Barto Henderson; and sister, Jennye Burdick.
He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Dorothy Henderson; mother, Margaret Giles of Weatherford; sister, Julia Henderson of Fort Worth; son, Rex Henderson and wife, Melinda, of Odessa; daughters, Regina Henderson Grendahl of Fargo, N.D. and Heather DeLeon of Lubbock; step-daughters, Cindy Dunn of Lubbock, Linda Eadie of Burleson and Sandie Morgan of Aledo; grandchildren, James Henderson, Dustin Henderson, Sean Hendrix, Wes Hendrix, Jerrod Morgan, Trevor Morgan, Dalton Eadie, Jenna Grendahl, Eric Grendahl, Luisa DeLeon, Mia DeLeon and Diego DeLeon; nephews, Mark McDaniel and David McDaniel; and many lfamily members and friends.

Billy Jim Davenport was born Oct. 24, 1924, to J.D. "Dock" and Malissie Josephine Brock Davenport in Whitt. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and later made his career in service to his fellow man as a Texas state trooper. Davenport retired from the Department of Public Safety in 1985 and was named an honorary Texas Ranger.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Corene Mask Davenport; two brothers; and four sisters.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Davenport; children, Linda Conniff and husband, Trey, and Pamela Brittain Walters and husband, Mark; grandchildren, Kristen, Tiger, Dustin, Melissa, Casey and Blake; 15 great-grandchildren; sister, Iris Fern Dillon; and a host of family and friends.

Josephine Marie Ondra King, 79, died Sunday, May 4, 2014.
Service is set for 10 a.m. Friday, May 9 at Aledo Church of Christ, 201 S FM 1187. Interment will be at Annetta Cemtery. Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at White's Funeral Home, 130 Houston Ave., Weatherford, 76086.
Mrs. King was born in Weatherford and spent her life in the area. She married Richard King in 1954 and they were blessed with four children: Sheri, Gary, Larry and Melinda. Larry preceded her in death in 1960.
Mrs. King was a consummate homemaker and mother, working only short stints outside the home. She loved to travel, was an avid reader and enjoyed flowers. She was an active member of the Aledo Church of Christ for 55 years, sharing her gifts in children's Bible classes, the hospital gown ministry, church history scrapbooking, and organizing dinners for the sick and bereavement ministry.
King was preceded in death by her parents, Adolph and Rosa Ondra; and sisters, Janie Wyatt, Alyne Wingo, Margaret Adams, Rosalie Reynolds and Eloise Barber.
Survivors include her husband, Richard King; children, Sheri Messer and husband Ken, Gary King and wife Jeannie, and Melinda Roberts and husband Rob; grandchildren, Ryan King, Andrew King, Jake King, Cheyenne King, Austin Roberts and wife Shauna, and Ethan Roberts; and brother, Augusta Ondra.
