Willie Ray Taylor

Ray was born September 22, 1935, one of six children, to John Henry and Vera Aline Ramsey Taylor in Glen Rose. He served with distinction in the United States Navy and received his discharge after four years of honorable service. Ray made his career with Santa Fe Railway and retired after 42 dedicated years. He married Sandy in February 1981, and they enjoyed many great years together and traveled much of the world.

An RV adventurist, Ray considered himself a world traveler and even sailed a boat with his brother, Don, from Florida to Texas. He was also an accomplished musician and played the guitar and harmonica. Ray was a member of Horseshoe Bend Baptist Church.

The Taylor family wishes to extend heartfelt gratitude to Delores and Bonnie for their graciousness.
