Roo Stadium Burglary Solved

August 24, 2010 by Randy Keck

On Thursday, Aug. 12, Weatherford Police Officers were dispatched to Roo Stadium, located at 250 Eureka St, in regard to unknown person(s) who made forced entry into the stadium building and the neighboring athletic building, substantially vandalizing the building. Computer equipment, school equipment and metal lightening rods mounted to the roof of the stadium were damaged. The suspects also discharged a fire extinguisher, leaving yellow residue all over the stadium building floor and walls.

Through the course of the investigation, detectives made contact with known individuals who were seen in the area at the time of the burglary. Upon being contacted by investigators, two of the suspects admitted to being involved in the stadium and athletic building burglaries. Both have been arrested for one count of Burglary of a Building with additional Burglary charges pending.

Nathan Parker (18) and Trevor Johnson (18), both of Weatherford, were arrested early Monday morning on outstanding warrants issued out of the Weatherford Police Department. Each count of Burglary of a Building is punishable up to two years in a state jail facility and up to a $10,000 fine.

Mugshots of the suspects are located at the Parker County Jail Web site – www. parkercountytx.gov.
