1-20 accident: A Willow Park firefighter cleans debris following an afternoon accident along I-20 near the Lake Weatherford exit Wednesday.
No one was injured in a three-car accident along eastbound Interstate-20 yesterday when a Ford Mustang did not stop in time while traveling in a construction zone.
The accident occurred near exit 415 (the Lake Weatherford exit) when the driver of a Ford Mustang slammed into the rear of a Chevrolet Avalanche which in turn sent the pickup into the pickup in front of it.
According to Willow Park Police Chief Brad Johnson, traffic was stop and go due to construction and the driver of the Mustang could not stop in time as traffic came to a halt.
One lane was then briefly blocked because of accident debris.
Both the Avalanche, which appeared to have a wrecked front bumper, and the pickup drove away from the scene. The Mustang suffered a destroyed front hood and had to be towed.
