Weatherford Police Department Newsblotter, August 28, 2011

August 29, 2011 by Anonymous

On Sunday 8-28-11 at about 0800 hours, I (Officer T. Johnson 19) was on routine patrol at Cartwright Park and noticed that a door on a well house near the children's playground was open. Upon further inspection, I saw that the door had been kicked in to make forced entry. There was no signs of anything stolen or destroyed inside the shed. A Criminal Mischief report was completed.

On 8-28-11 at approximately 0850 hours I, Officer D.L. Morton # 72, received a theft call at 2137 E. Lake Dr. in reference to a stolen boat. Upon arrival at 2137 E. Lake Dr. at approximately 0908 hours I met with the complainant, John Bates (w/m 57yoa), who advised that sometime between approximately 2030 hours on 8-27-11 and 0700 hours this date some unknown person or persons without his consent took his boat that was anchored in the lake behind his residence approximately 100 feet off shore. The boat was later recovered in another part of Lake Weatherford. A report was made.

On this date, at about 1145 hours, I (Officer T. Johnson 19) was dispatched to meet Debra Herbel (W/F 49) in the lobby of the Weatherford PD in reference to a possible Criminal Mischief involving her vehicle. She stated that she believed that Friday evening between 6pm and 1015 pm while she was working in the 100 block of N. Denton someone scratched the paint on her 2010 Ford Escape over some personality conflicts and drama. A Criminal Mischief report was made.

On 8/28/11 Officer Stagner was dispatched to a business located at 1835 S Main St in reference to a theft. Officer Stagner met with business representative, Elizabeth Rogers (w/f 26 y/o), and was advised that an unknown white female drove up to a gas pump and fueled her black Chevy Trailblazer (with an unknown temporary buyers tag) and drove away without paying. Rogers advised the unknown person appropriated property without consent and with the intent to deprive.

On 08-28-2011 at 1530 hrs I (T.Wainscott #79) Officer with the Weatherford Police Department was dispatched to the 1400 blk of Ft worth Hwy, to a disturbance call. Upon arrival I met with Amador Valdez (W/M 50yoa). Valdez informed me the he had a confrontation with three men he had working for him. Valdez said that he told the three men he had to let them go and they got mad. The three men assaulted Valdez by striking him in the face and head causing Valdez pain. Valdez said that he wanted to file charges on the three men for Assault Bodily Injury. No further information at this time.
